Learning Objectives/Outcomes
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Develop introductory skills for implementing musculoskeletal ultrasound in a physical therapy setting
- Identify and understand common pathological presentations in tendinopathy on ultrasound
- Demonstrate understanding of the basic principles of tendon pathology and evidence-based treatment for tendon injuries
- Integrate the clinical assessments for diagnosis and prognosis of tendinopathies
- Implement evidence-based exercise progressions for the treatment of tendon injuries
- Develop a rehabilitation plan for runners with tendinopathy that considers both tendon recovery and provocative running mechanics
- Successfully apply Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation for the treatment of tendon injuries
Instructional Level: Introductory
Assessment/Measurement of Objectives/Learning Outcomes: Instructor will be assessing participant techniques in lab portion of course. There will be ongoing Q&A opportunities throughout the course to insure understanding and learning of material. Participants will be required to complete course evaluation survey which includes assessment of learning objectives to obtain CCU/CEU certificate.
Handouts: Electronic handouts will be shared with all attendees prior to the course via email. Please print or download the materials prior to the course for your use. Wi-Fi is available to all; however, we cannot ensure connectivity at all times.
