Sprint for Life Info
Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from gynecologic cancers, according to the National Cancer Institute. Unfortunately, because there is no screening or early detection test available and ovarian cancer symptoms are subtle, only about 20% of ovarian tumors are detected before they have progressed to an advanced stage. On Race Day, survivors, their families and friends, businesses and MD Anderson employees come together to achieve two goals: raise funds for research and increase awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms.
The 28th Annual Sprint for Life 5K and Sprint for Sprouts Kids' Run will take place in the Texas Medical Center (TMC) near MD Anderson campus on May 3, 2025. Online registration will open soon. Complimentary registration for the first 100 ovarian cancer survivors and one caregiver.
