     Meredith Sorensen, MS, RD, LD is a former D1 cross country and track runner for the University of Houston. She loved cross country and the steeplechase, but has continued to run post-collegiately and get involved in the rich running community in Houston. She just completed her first half marathon (Aramco Houston 2023) where she ran 1:21. 
 
     Meredith also completed her sports nutrition residency with Memorial Hermann, where she worked with athletes competing for Houston Christian University, as well as Stratford and Katy Tompkins high schools. In addition, Meredith gained experience working in the professional soccer space with the Houston Dash and currently serves as the team dietitian for the Houston Dynamo 2. 
 
     Meredith is originally from Michigan, and she loves a good lake day. Her favorite food is tacos and anything chocolate/peanut butter. 
 
 
      Kim Lowry, RD, LD, CSSD is a registered dietitian and board certified specialist in sports dietetics with the Memorial Hermann | Rockets Sports Medicine Institute. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology at East Stroudsburg University where she was a DII athlete in cross country, indoor, and outdoor track. After graduating, she spent time as a high school cross country and track coach while also pursuing a second degree in dietetics at Montclair State University. 
 
     In her current role, Kim serves as the sports dietitian for University of St Thomas (DIII), two Houston area high schools, and does private nutrition counseling for endurance athletes. In previous roles, Kim worked with DI athletes at University of Houston, Rice University, & dancers in the Houston Ballet Company. Outside of her work as a dietitian, Kim is a RRCA Certified Running Coach and works with runners training from 5k through ultramarathon!
