Julie Girgis Rizkallah, MA, CCC-SLP, CBIS-T
 

Julie has been a speech-language pathologist since 2007 and has been a part of the Memorial Hermann Health System (MHHS) since 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in Communication Disorders in 2005 and Masters of Arts Degree (MA) in Communication Disorders in 2007, both from California State University, Long Beach, California.  During her time as a speech pathologist, Julie has served various patient populations in California and Texas, with a primary focus on individuals with severe traumatic and acquired brain injury, including members of the Neurobehavioral Program and the Disorders of Consciousness (DOC) Program. From 2015 to 2024, her role as the SLP Clinical Coordinator at TIRR Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center included providing clinical mentorship and education to staff and participating in program development for the Brain Injury and Stoke Program, the Spinal Cord Injury Program, and the Neuromuscular Program. Julie has also served as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist-Trainer for the Memorial Hermann System since 2020. In December 2024, she transitioned to her current role as a Senior Patient Safety Specialist for the Safe In Action Team, a program under High Reliability Integration of the Memorial Hermann Quality and Patient Safety Department. Julie’s responsibilities include development, facilitation, and sustainment of the Safe In Action (SIA) program and roadshow to all manager-level leaders and above. Pooja Kaku PT, DPT, CBIS-T

Pooja Kaku, PT, DPT, NCS, CBIST is a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist and Certified Brain Injury Specialist with experience in inpatient neurologic rehabilitation. She earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Sports Science and Biology from Texas Tech University, followed by her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2015. Since joining TIRR Memorial Hermann in 2017, Pooja has been a key member of the Brain Injury and Stroke team and an active contributor to the Disorders of Consciousness program. She currently serves as co-leader of the SPASM Committee, provides mentorship to fellow therapists, and participates in multiple workgroups dedicated to advancing best practices in disorders of consciousness care. Moriah Gienger, OTR, MOT, CBIS-T

Moriah completed her Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from Houston Community College in 2017 in Houston, TX and her Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree from The University of Louisiana Monroe in Monroe, LA in 2020. Moriah is a graduate of the TIRR Memorial Hermann Neurologic Occupational Therapy Fellowship program (2021-2022).  Moriah has been working with the neurologic population since she began her occupational therapy career in 2017 and specifically at TIRR Memorial Hermann following the completion of her fellowship program in 2022. She is currently a member of the inpatient Brain Injury and Stroke Team at the Texas Medical Center (TMC) location. Moriah is passionate about clinical education and supports the TIRR Education Academy as an instructor for neurologic and OT-specific content. She also recently became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIS-T) and will support those pursuing their CBIS certifications in the future. Her clinical and research interests include neurorecovery, functional cognition, and vision in the brain injury population. Brittney Moore, OTR, CSRS, CBIS-T

Brittney Moore, OTR, CSRS, CBIS-T earned her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2014. Brittney is deeply passionate about empowering healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to provide evidence-based, compassionate care for individuals with neurological conditions. Brittney holds certifications as a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist-Trainer. Robyn Rife, PT, MPT, CBIS-T

Robyn Rife, PT, MPT, CBIS-T, is a dedicated physical therapist since 2006; delivering high-quality, patient-centered care at TIRR Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science with a double major in Psychology from Iowa State University in 2002. She went on to complete her Master in Physical Therapy at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston in 2005, followed by a Post-Professional Certification in Early Childhood Intervention through UTMB’s Imprints program in 2006.  Robyn became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) in 2016 and achieved the Certified Brain Injury Specialist–Trainer (CBIS-T) credential in 2025, underscoring her commitment to ongoing professional development and excellence in neurorehabilitation.  Throughout her career, Robyn has provided therapy across the full continuum of care, including ICU, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation. She currently specializes in the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) unit, where she integrates clinical expertise with compassionate, individualized care.
