Dr. Courtney Amor
Courtney Amor, M.D. graduated from Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his training in Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and spent extensive time on the orthopedic trauma service at Ben Taub General Hospital. Dr. Amor elected to pursue an additional year of subspecialty training in disorders of the hand and upper extremity at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Amor specializes in treating disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. This includes fractures, dislocations, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, arthritis, and sports injuries. He focuses on the optimal non-operative management for conditions that do not require surgery, and can sometimes offer arthroscopic or minimally invasive options when surgery becomes necessary.
Mailanie Concepcion Baird, OTR/L, CBIS, CHT
Mailanie received a degree in Occupational Therapy from UST and is a Board Certified Hand Therapist and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. Mailanie’s current areas of interest are upper quarter rehabilitation, holistic approach to hand therapy/rehabilitation which includes preventative care, and sports medicine. She is one of the founding faculty for the Hand Therapy Fellowship credentialing at Memorial Hermann. She is heavily involved in teaching and mentorship at Memorial Hermann. She has been a clinician for more than 20 years and has experience in all levels of care in Occupational Therapy.
James “Casey” Callahan, OT, CHT
Casey received a degree in Occupational Therapy from LSU Medical Center and is a Certified Hand Therapist. Mr. Callahan’s areas of interest and specialization include wrist and hand, elbow, and sports injuries. He advanced certification/training in hand therapy. He is involved in teaching with Memorial Hermann. Casey has worked with several hand/upper extremity physicians to develop evidence-based protocols for flexor tendon injuries and tennis elbow.
Dr. John Conway
Dr. Conway specializes in sports and active lifestyle medicine, with a clinical and research emphasis on upper extremity sports medicine, baseball medicine, and complex shoulder and elbow reconstruction. He is nationally recognized as an authority on shoulder and elbow injuries in overhead athletes. Dr. Conway completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California. He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Conway is actively involved in the care of athletes at the University of Houston Athletics.
Dr. Hannah Dineen
Dr. Dineen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Dineen specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery in both adults and children. She is trained in arthroscopy, minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery, as well as microvascular surgery. Her areas of clinical interest include complex trauma, tendon injuries, arthritis, and peripheral nerve surgery. Dr. Dineen completed her fellowship training in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at the renowned Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. Dr. Dineen is actively engaged in research and education.
Christian Ely, MSOT, OTR, CHT, COMT-UE, CWT
Christian is a Certified Hand Therapist and Certified Wound Therapist. He graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a double major in Exercise Science and Kinesiology, then an MS in occupational therapy. Christian has experience in serving upper extremity patients in both the community andhospital setting. Christian works at Memorial Hermann Rockets Sports Medicine Institute. He serves as a National Performance Coach for Physicians Rehab Solutions. He is previous faculty with the Houston Methodist Hand Therapy Fellowship and current Faculty with EIM and Memorial Hermann Hand Therapy Fellowships. Christian is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist of the Upper Extremity and has additional certifications in blood flow restriction therapy, functional dry needling, and is a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist with the American Academy of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Robert Fullick
Dr. Robert Fullick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Dr. Fullick specializes in Sports Medicine and reconstructive shoulder surgery, including injuries and degenerative conditions of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Fullick attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Boston. He went on to complete the Alps Surgery Institute Shoulder Fellowship in Annecy, France, as well as the Union Memorial Hospital Sports Medicine Fellowship in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. James M. Gregory
Dr. Gregory is a renowned orthopaedic surgeon and Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Gregory completed a prestigious fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Washington University in Saint Louis. Dr. Gregory understands the full spectrum of shoulder and elbow conditions, including the unique demands of the overhead athlete, or the daily struggles caused by persistent shoulder or elbow pain. He maintains an active interest in clinical research and education. He performs only shoulder and elbow surgery, and is focused on both open and arthroscopic management of complex shoulder and elbow conditions.
Amy Lindsey, PT, MPT, CHT
Amy Lindsey received her Bachelor of Science in exercise science and her Master's in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University. She is a certified hand therapist. Amy’s areas of interest and specialization include treatment of the elbow, wrist and hand injuries, and fabrication of custom orthoses for the wrist and hand. She has advanced training in Instrumented-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). Amy is a certified clinical instructor and enjoys mentoring physical therapists and physical therapy students in hand and wrist rehabilitation. She is a member of the Texas Society of Hand Therapists.
Dr. James Saucedo
Dr. James Saucedo is an Associate Professor of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Dr. Saucedo achieved his MD at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and MBA at the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Rice University. Dr. James Saucedo completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and his Hand and Microvascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery with a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He remains actively involved with multiple medical organizations and has served in leadership roles in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). He has a particular interest in hand and wrist trauma and improving access to care.
Trevor Simcox, MD
Trevor Simcox, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School, UTHealth Houston. A fellowship-trained Shoulder and Elbow specialist, he focuses on sports injuries, trauma, and primary and revision joint replacements, utilizing both arthroscopic and open techniques. Dr. Simcox earned his MD at the Keck School of Medicine (USC), completed his residency at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine as chief resident, and pursued advanced fellowship training at the University of Florida, working with the Florida Gators’ team physicians. He is a member of AAOS and ASES, with over 30 research publications and interests in reverse shoulder replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and elbow injuries, frequently presenting at national and international conferences.
Dr. Dean Smith
Dr. Dean W. Smith is board certified in orthopedic surgery. He has clinical interests in minimally invasive hand surgery, endoscopic and arthroscopic upper extremity surgery, hand trauma, hand reconstruction, arthritis, fracture management, tendon and nerve disorders. He is also certified in Surgery of the Hand, the highest certification for hand surgery from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Smith graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He completed his residency and internship in orthopedic surgery at the University of New Mexico. He went on to obtain fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Florida.

Dr. Woerner is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
