Emily Hahn MPH, RDN, LD, CED-S
Emily Hahn is an eating disorder, non-diet dietitian in Houston, Texas. She owns and operates a group practice of dietitians called We All Eat Nutrition Therapy. We All Eat is a HAES-aligned practice that specializes in intuitive eating and eating disorder recovery. Prior to opening her own practice, Emily worked at a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient eating disorder treatment facility. Emily is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, and is currently serving as President on the board of the Houston Eating Disorders Specialists. Emily is contracted with the Houston Ballet Academy where she provides nutrition education, individual consultations, and sits on multidisciplinary panels.
Samuel Bennett PhD
Sam completed his PhD at Liverpool John Moores University (UK) in collaboration with the French Institute of Sport (INSEP, Paris) and the French Triathlon Federation, investigating the impact of carbohydrate availability and heat stress on endurance performance and metabolic adaptation in endurance-trained athletes. Sam has experience working across cell, rodent and human exercise models and is currently a Post-Doc at Texas A&M University investigating the time-dependent metabolic impact of exercise and ageing in mice.
Emily Lantz PhD
Dr. Emily Lantz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Metabolism and Rehabilitation Science in the School of Health Professions at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She has a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Biochemistry from Iowa State University, a PhD in Nutrition Science from Purdue University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in skeletal muscle metabolism from the Divsion of Rehabilitation Science University of Texas Medical Branch.
Dr. Lantz's research interest broadly focuses on two main themes: i). the effects of physiological inactivity on skeletal muscle mass and functional capacity in middle-aged and older adults with an emphasis on aging women and ii). the application and mechanism of action of amino acid and protein consumption on acute markers of anabolism e.g. muscle protein synthesis.
Nikki Shelton DPT
Nikki Shelton found her love for physical therapy as a Division 1 collegiate soccer player at the University of Houston. She has been a licensed physical therapist for Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation for 15 years and is a dual certified specialist in orthopedics and sports as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Due to her passion for mentoring and teaching Nikki developed Memorial Hermann’s first Orthopedic Residency Program and partnered with Brian Duncan to develop our first Sports Residency Program. Over the last seven years, the Memorial Hermann Residency Program has graduated over 70 residents. Nikki also served as adjunct faculty at Texas Woman’s University for 12 years where she taught entry level physical therapy students how to effectively integrate into the clinic.
Over the course of her career at Memorial Hermann & within her current role as Ambulatory Programs Director, Nikki has partnered with several physicians, service line leaders and researchers to develop multidisciplinary programs aimed to improve end to end care for patients across the care continuum.
Nikki is currently a member of the APTA Orthopedic section and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists where she serves as a member of the AAOMPT research committee.
Brett Singer MS, RD, CSSD, LD
Brett Singer has been a sports dietitian with Memorial Hermann for over 10 years. Within his role he served as a contract dietitian for Houston Dynamo for 4 seasons, in addition to working with multiple high schools in the community.
Outside of his role with Memorial Hermann, Brett has served as an adjunct professor for University of Houston Master of Athletic Training Program, as well on the Board of Directors for Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitian Association.
