Conference Description:
This conference will contain 3 sections covering ethical considerations when working with patients with dysphagia, DEI in clinical engagement with patients, clinical management of esophageal dysphagia, and the impact of positioning and partnering with OT/PT in the management of dysphagia.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this conference, participants will be able to:
Establish awareness of DEI and the impact it has on evaluation and care of patients and clients.
Predict the impact of esophageal dysphagia on adequate nutrition and hydration.
Design ideal positioning of patients for dysphagia assessment and treatment by partnering with physical and occupational therapy.
Apply the principles of ASHAs ethics policy to persons with Dysphagia.
